If you’re in the Baltimore area and need your car gone today or tomorrow, CarLift Baltimore is set up for speed. In most Baltimore Metro neighborhoods, when you call before noon on a weekday, we can often arrange same-day pickup. Otherwise, plan on a quick 24–48 hour pickup window. Your car does not need to run, drive, or pass inspection. We send a licensed tow truck to your driveway, completely free, and you receive a tax receipt for your donation to Heritage for the Blind.
Our local dispatch partners cover much of the Baltimore Metro: from Federal Hill, Canton, Hampden, Charles Village, and Mount Vernon to Towson, Pikesville, Catonsville, Dundalk, Glen Burnie, Essex, and Columbia. You’ll just need a signed title in hand. Call for truly urgent pickups so we can confirm the earliest slot, or use the quick online form if you’re flexible within the next day or two. We coordinate your pickup window, the driver arrives, you sign a few papers, and your car is on its way—opening up your garage or parking space while supporting services for people who are blind and visually impaired.

Get ready with your signed Maryland title
5 minutesBefore the tow truck arrives, locate your Maryland vehicle title and sign it where indicated for transfer. If you’re in the city, county, or surrounding suburbs, having your signed title ready is the key to smooth, fast pickup. The driver will guide you through any final signatures on-site.
Free tow truck pickup at your address
15–20 minutesA licensed tow truck comes directly to your Baltimore-area location—rowhome alley, apartment lot, or driveway. Your car does not have to start or pass inspection. The driver verifies your title, completes a brief pickup form, loads the vehicle, and your space is cleared on the spot.
Donation processed and tax receipt sent
1–3 weeksCarLift Baltimore processes your donation on behalf of Heritage for the Blind, a 501(c)(3). After the vehicle is sold, you’ll receive a tax receipt by mail. For donations over the IRS threshold, you’ll use Form 1098-C with your return. Keep your receipt with your tax records.
Why the process is genuinely fast
Same-day pickup often available
In most Baltimore Metro areas, calling before noon on a weekday makes same-day pickup realistically possible, subject to truck availability. If same-day can’t be confirmed, we’ll push for the earliest next-day slot so your deadline is still met.
Start your donation in 2 minutes
Whether you’re in Bolton Hill, Highlandtown, or Lutherville, it takes about two minutes to give us the info we need. A quick phone call is best for urgent deadlines; the online form works well when you can allow a 24–48 hour window.
Monday–Saturday dispatch coverage
CarLift Baltimore’s dispatch partners schedule pickups Monday through Saturday, giving you six days a week of options. That flexibility makes it much easier to line up same-day or next-day towing that fits around work, moving, or lease-end timelines.
Non-running and failed-inspection cars OK
Your vehicle does not have to run, start, or pass Maryland safety or emissions inspection. From dead batteries to blown engines, as long as the car can be safely winched onto a truck, we can usually pick it up within that same-day or next-day time frame.
No repairs or inspection needed
Don’t spend time or money at the mechanic just to donate. Skip the MVA inspection lines altogether. We accept most vehicles as-is, arrange the free tow, and handle the logistics so you can clear your spot without extra errands or delays.
